Two mediators · The investment of one

Mediation Referrals for Attorneys · Orange County

A neutral you can hand your client to, and still look good.

You know which matters should never see a verdict. When the right move is the table, not the trial, you need a mediator whose room you’d trust with your own name on it. Two neutrals handle every referral, for the investment of one.

You already know a quiet, enforceable resolution serves a client better than a public war of attrition. That is exactly what a referral here is built to deliver.

Confidential · Counsel welcome throughout · (949) 579-2760
Before any of it, the one promise that matters most: the client you refer comes back to you when the matter closes, relationship intact. We resolve the dispute, we never take the relationship.
You Already Know The Case

Some files belong in a courtroom. The rest are just bleeding.

You’ve seen it more than once. A matter that should have resolved in month two is still open in month twenty, and everyone at the table knows it.

The client is exhausted and second-guessing the bills. The other side is just as dug in.

The law is on your side, or close enough, but the path to proving it runs through years of discovery and a trial date that keeps moving.

What that case needs isn’t another motion. It needs a room where both sides can finally be heard, run by someone who will get them to yes without anyone losing face.

The hard part is handing your client to a neutral and trusting the room will hold. That trust is the entire point of this page.

Why Counsel Send Us Their Clients

Two mediators. Your client stays yours.

We run a two-mediator model, a dyad, so both sides feel genuinely heard and nothing slips through. You stay in the matter from start to finish.

We resolve the dispute; we never step between you and your client.

An attorney’s job is to protect the client’s interest, and sometimes the client’s deepest interest is to never see the inside of a courtroom.

The dyad is led by a licensed California attorney-mediator and a Marine Corps combat veteran, so the room carries real legal judgment and steadiness under pressure.

You Stay In The Matter

Counsel is welcome throughout. You advise your client, you’re present when you choose to be, and you review before anyone signs.

Confidential By Law

Mediation is confidential. What happens in the room stays there, protecting your client, the relationship, and your strategy.

Two Neutrals, Not One

Two mediators hold both sides at once. Blind spots get caught and momentum builds from both directions toward one agreement.

Agreements You Can Review

Resolutions are documented in plain language. We recommend legal review before signing, every time, as a matter of course.

Our Covenant To Referring Counsel

We’re not here for your client. Full stop.

Most referral pitches tiptoe around the one thing you’re actually weighing. We’ll just say it, in writing, so there’s nothing left to wonder about. Here is exactly what we will and won’t do with the client you send us.

Your client stays yours.

We’re a neutral for one matter, not a rival for your relationship. We don’t want your client in any other capacity, period. When the matter closes, they go back to you.

We give no legal advice.

As mediators we advise no one in the room. Your client’s lawyer is you, from the first call to the signature.

We don’t represent, and we won’t later.

We represent no party in the matter. Consistent with the California Rules of Professional Conduct, we won’t turn around and take your client as a legal client afterward either.

No referral fees. Ever.

We don’t pay for referrals and we never will. The referral stays clean, and so does your file. We earn the next one by how we handle this one.

It is confidential by law.

Mediation is protected under California’s Evidence Code, sections 1115 through 1128. With narrow exceptions, what’s said at the table can’t be used later in court, and it stays private.

You stay in the room.

You’re welcome throughout. Prepare your client, step out to advise them privately at any point, and review any agreement before anyone signs.

We’ll tell you no.

If a matter isn’t right for the table, we’ll say so and send it back. A neutral who turns down the wrong cases is one you can trust with the right ones.

Clear and conspicuous: this describes how we work and is general information, not legal advice, and it creates no attorney-client or other professional relationship. Mediation confidentiality is governed by California Evidence Code sections 1115 through 1128. Our conduct as neutral mediators is governed by the California Rules of Professional Conduct. No outcome is ever guaranteed.

How It Works With Counsel

A clean handoff, and a clean return.

1

You Refer The Matter

Send it over or make an introduction. We open a confidential intake and confirm, with you, that mediation is the right fit before anything proceeds.

2

We Prepare Both Sides

Once all parties agree, we prepare each side so the session runs clean. You stay informed and involved at the level you and your client prefer.

3

The Session

A structured, private room, run by two mediators. Parties may step out to confer with their own counsel at any time.

4

You Review, They Sign

The agreement comes back in plain language for your review. The client returns to you with the matter closed and the relationship intact.

Dyadic Mediation acts solely as a neutral. We don’t provide legal advice to any party, and we don’t take over the representation of a referred client.

Counsel remains counsel.

A closed leather folio resting on a desk as if passed from one professional to another, a quiet still-life standing in for a trusted referral between counsel and mediator

Your client comes back to you, relationship intact, because two neutrals handle the matter in confidence, so a referral never costs you the relationship.
